Finding Aerostars isn’t easy, especially when you have a laundry list of features you’re trying to match up against. I had to find an Aerostar that met the following must-have criteria. The things I couldn’t alter on my own:

  • 1992+ model year / body style

  • Passenger van, not a work van

  • Extended length version

  • Four wheel drive

  • Tan interior

My ideal match would also:

  • Match the green and tan color of the original

  • Have a second row bench seat, rather than bucket seats

  • Be brand new and perfect

After weeks of searching, I found this tan one on Facebook Marketplace for $1,400, located in western Colorado, near Utah. It met all the requirements of my must-have list, but sadly, none of my ideals.

The seller was incredibly friendly and helpful. He sent me a bunch of photos to help me inspect it from afar and listed out everything that he was aware of that needed to be repaired. He also told me he replaced the engine a few years back, and that It only has about 70k miles on it. So, that's a pretty sweet bonus.

If it wasn't apparent already, I decided to buy this one.
