Full disclosure: I have never purchased a vehicle sight unseen and 2,000+ miles away before. But I figured "there are services that handle the purchasing of vehicles and companies that handle auto transport, so it'll be easy". Not so much.
Throughout the course of five weeks, I cycled through a number of different auto transport companies. Each one claimed to "have a driver on the way" almost every day I spoke to them. The auto transport industry is not easy to navigate. There's a lot of competition and confusion, which can lead to a lot of frustration for the consumer (me). Eventually though, I was able to negotiate a deal with somebody who would rent and attach a trailer to his truck and drive it to New York.

Sadly, I have run into a series of issues with my driver, leaving me wondering where the car is, or if it will arrive at all, but the latest update is that it’s scheduled to arrive by February 6th. More to come!
